postheadericon Welcome To St. Andrew's Golf Club

St. Andrew's Golf Club (also called 'Moka'), located in the hills to the north of Port of Spain, Trinidad, has one of the finest Championship quality, 18 Hole Golf Courses in the Caribbean.

Although not a long course, its narrow fairways, contoured greens and mature, tropical trees, strategically positioned, provide a stern test to break par. The front nine is about distance but the back nine is about accuracy. At 6,555 yards off the Blue Tees, one often assumes that the course is 'beatable'. Be forewarned, you are easily tamed.

This year St. Andrew's Golf Club would be hosting the Stephen Ames Cup. The annual tournament between Canada and Trinidad & Tobago is to commence on Wednesday 18th August 2010 and finish on Friday 20th August 2010.

Both Stephen and the Canadian team are scheduled to arrive on Sunday 15th August 2010 with the first practice round scheduled for the day after (Monday 16th August 2010). The official opening ceremony is rostered to commence at 3.00 pm.

On Friday 20th August 2010 at 4.00 pm, Stephen Ames would be hosting a clinic on our Range. This clinic is open to all Members and Guests and, as is typical, Stephen himself would be willing to answer any questions and offer advice if requested. Please make every effort to attend.

All members are asked to come and support the Trinidad and Tobago Team. Bring friends if you can. Trinidad & Tobago won in Canada last year. We are hoping to ensure that we keep the trophy on our home soil.
